The main “on the ground team” consists of myself (Mira Micin) and my husband (John DePalma). We both participate in feeding, training, showing, and caring for the dogs. Additionally, we share the same passion for the preservation and continuation of the Japanese Akita.
Our journey with Japanese Akita has put us in contact with a great many wonderful mentors who continue to help us grow and learn as much as we can about this breed. We are deeply grateful that the community has opened up to us!
Our ultimate goal is to help preserve this breed for future generations by focusing on sound structure, temperament, health. and adhering to the breed standard as developed by AKIHO.
